Beautiful but Could It Have Been Better? 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup Kit Sleeve Badges Revealed

We probably get an early unexpected look at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup sleeve badge during the 2023 FIFA World Cup Play Off Tournament. Thanks to @AusKitNerd for making us aware.

The badges worn during the Play-Off Tournament are not the 100% final design - the lettering "Play Off Tournament" will not feature on the final sleeve badges, of course.

The FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023 sleeve badge has a unique design, at least for the "light" version. It combines the official logo with a multicolor blue, orange, and yellow background. This design is a refreshing departure and adds a pop of color to the kit.

What is the big downside is the sleeve badge worn on darker kits. The darker kit badges feature a solid-colored white box, making the whole badge very unpleasant.

On the left sleeve is the well-known "Football United the World" sleeve badge that made its debut in the 2022 Men's World Cup.

Indeed, it might have been better to have no square boxes for the logo at all. What would possibly make an even better version would be just the ball design, similar to the iconic UEFA Champions League star ball sleeve badge.

The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup is set to be one of the biggest sporting events of the year, with teams from around the world vying for the coveted trophy. The tournament will take place across 12 stadiums in Australia and New Zealand, with the final to be held in Sydney on July 23, 2023.
