No Karneval Shirt - Köln to Release 75th Anniversary Kit

We have interesting kit news from the Bundesliga, as it has been reported by Geissblog, a fan-run news site, that FC Köln will not be receiving a Karneval kit for the 2022-23 season.

Köln to Release 75-Year Anniversary Kit

Since 2013, when Erima released FC Köln's first Karneval jersey, the club have received a kit of the same theme every year, apart from one exception.

Back in 2018, Erima and Köln released a special kit celebrating the club's 70th birthday. 5 years later, in February of 2023, the club and new kit supplier Hummel are set to do the same for 75 years.

FC Köln, who were founded on February 13, 1948, are therefore expected to wear the special shirt at a home match in early 2023. This coincides with the height of Karneval celebrations, when Köln would normally wear their Karneval kits.

Like Erima's 2018 anniversary shirt, Hummel's rendition may also have a retro-look. Erima's all-white effort was inspired by the 1963-64 league-winning season.
