Botafogo's new 2022 provisional home shirt was released a couple of days ago. It is made by Wev and will be worn for the start of the 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro until the club finds a new long term kit manufacturer. Thanks to @mantosdofutebol for the information.

Check out Wev's Botafogo 2022 provisional home football shirt below.

The Wev Botafogo 2022 provisional home shirt has a very simple look of black and white stripes with black raglan sleeves and a round neck collar. there is a subtle wavy pattern visible on the body of the shirt The club badge is placed on the left of the chest and the jersey is free of any other logos or emblems. Black shorts and socks round off the look of the new Botafogo 2022 provisional home kit by Wev.

Botafogo had a deal in place with Volt Sport to become the new supplier, taking over from Kappa, but owner John Textor cancelled that deal and all other sponsorship deals as he wants to realign the club with brands that have a bigger global reach.

John Textor with new coach Luis Castro

He mentioned the possibility of Botafogo becoming Reebok's first club in a return to the sport, but that obviously hasn't come to fruition yet. It remains to be seen if they will sign with Reebok or another brand. In the meantime, they will be wearing unbranded gear produced by Chinese company Wev. They have also been training in very basic unbranded shirts and shorts.

The quality of the Wev gear does not look great from these photos, with the stitching around the collar and the sleeves on the training wear looking suspect, as does the application of the club badge. Not exactly the start to the season that Textor would have wanted. It will be interesting to see who they end up signing with now.
