Only Arsenal & Man Utd to Wear 'Authentic' Adidas Kits in 21-22 Premier League

The 2021-2022 Premier League season will kick off on Friday. We already could enjoy the on-pitch appearance of most of the 21-22 kits, thanks to the many pre-season friendlies. We liked Adidas' kits but did not like to see the Three Stripes caring less about the smaller teams, again.

Adidas will supply the kits for four Premier League teams in the 2021-2022 season - Arsenal, Leeds United, Leicester City, and Manchester United.

Leeds & Leicester 21-22 Premier League Kits Feature Stitched Logos & Replica Kit Technology

The 2021-22 Premier League jerseys of Leeds United and Leicester City do not feature Adidas' best kit technology. Instead, they are based on the brand's technology used for replica kits.

Replica kits feature stitched logos and Aeroready technology

The Adidas replica 'Fan' kits come with Aeroready technology, stitched logos and a more relaxed cut, whereas the Adidas 'authentic' Player-Issue jerseys have Heat.Rdy technology, heat-applied logos and an athlete fit.

However, while Adidas-sponsored Arsenal and Manchester United wear the brand's high-end 'Heat.Rdy" jerseys, Leeds and Leicester wear the same replica kits sold to the fans.

What is very interesting about the Leeds 2021-22 home kit is that it features a different fabric than usual replica kits - it very much reminds us of authentic material.

It is nothing new that Adidas' B teams get replica kits - this has been also the case on the UEFA Euro 2020.

Adidas also gave most teams replica kits in the Euro 2020

With the Premier League being played in the colder months of the year, the issue with the replica technology should be not important in terms of performance.
