Sampdoria To Wear Special Sleeve Badge Against Parma

For their last game of the season, playing against relegated side Parma, Sampdoria's kit is going to feature a special badge.

Back in the early late 80s' and early 90s', Sampdoria were a force to be reckoned in Italy as well as Europe. With the attacking duo of Gianluca Vialli and now Italy's head coach Roberto Mancini, the club won their first and still only Scudetto in the 1990-91 season.

2021 marks 30 years since this historical event, and Sampdoria is going to commemorate with a special sleeve badge. On it reads the phrase "La Nostra Favola", which means "Our Fairy Tale". Above it are the number 30, the Scudetto and the season 1990-91, all placed in a laurel wreath.

In addition, Sampdoria is displaying the Scudetto Cup at the Ravano Tournament, a sports event for young children that was created by the club's late president Paolo Mantovani. A 45-minute documentary about the magical 1990-91 season has also been made and published on Youtube.
