"Same Puma 21-22 National Team Kits Feature Different Collars"

The new Puma 21-22 international away kits were released this week. They not only come with an unconventional new template but also seem to feature a production error with the collars, at least at first glance.

The launch photos of the new Puma Switzerland kit appear to feature the same shirt but with two different collars - one player is having a round collar, the other a v-neck. However, this is only partly "an error".

Puma 21-22 Authentic vs Replica Kits

The replica and authentic kits have different collars. One player is just wearing the replica version, while the other player is wearing the authentic version. The replica has a v-collar, while the player issue shirt has a round collar.

Other differences between the authentic and replica versions are the sizing of the logos for Italy (bigger on the replica) and the cut & material.

Design elements like the subtle embossed detailing are the same for the authentic and replica kits.

This is a bit similar to the MLS and the Adidas kits. The MLS shirts of the Three Stripes brand heavily differentiate between the 'authentic' (Player Issue) and 'replica' (Fan) kits.
