Bundesliga Extends Derbystar Ball Deal Until 2026

The German Football League (DFL - Deutsche Fußball Liga) and the Derbystar yesterday announced that they will continue their ball deal until at least summer 2026.

Derbystar became Bundesliga's ball maker ahead of the 2018-19 season, replacing Adidas. Founded in Goch (North Rhine-Westphalia - Germany) in 1968, Derbystar has been part of Select Sport A/S (Select) since 1991. Select is a Danish sports ball specialist.

The new deal means that until at least the summer of 2026, Derbystar will provide the Official Match Ball of the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga as well as at the Supercup.

"The fact that the DFL trusts our balls for four more seasons makes us very proud, because it confirms both our product quality and the very good cooperation since the start of our partnership," says Joachim Böhmer, COO of Derbystar Sportartikelfabrik GmbH, which has belonged to the Danish company SELECT Sport A/S since 1991.
