Atalanta Joma Kit Deal Prematurely Extended Until 2025

Atalanta Bergamo, a prime example of immaculate work across all deparments of a football club, has recently announced that the kit deal with Joma was prematurely extended until 2025.

Atalanta Bergamo currently sits in 5th place of Serie A, while they will face Real Madrid in the round of 16 of UEFA Champions League. It is remarkable that the small Italian club managed to gradually become better on the pitch, while still losing a lot of players to "bigger" clubs over the course of the last years. The list includes but is not restricted to Alessandro Bastoni, Andrea Conti, Bryan Cristante, Amad Diallo, Franck Kessié, Timothy Castagne, Dejan Kulusevski and Gianluca Mancini.

Atalanta Extends Joma Kit Deal

A look at Atalanta's kit history since 1990 quickly reveals that Joma is responsible since the 2017-18 season, replacing Nike. The Spanish brand has produced very classy kits for the Italian side up until this point, especially the home kit stayed traditional with black and blue vertical stripes.

The only publicly known aspect of the updated Joma Atalanta kit deal is the contract length until June 30 2025. Joma will continue to supply gear and kits for all Atalanta teams from the youth ranks up to the senior squad. The great relationship of both parties led to the early contract renewal. Atalanta highlights "great respect, the professionalism and sharing the same goals" in their press release.

A testament to this commitment and the incomparable partnership is the scrapped Atalanta 19-20 third kit that was not released by the club after the first leak led to very negative reactions.

“Extending this collaboration is, first and foremost, pleasure but also is a reason to be proud. Joma and Atalanta are very similar brands with the same ambitions: to develop, to grow and to improve” – stated Luca Percassi, the Chief Executive Officer of Atalanta B.C. “The collaboration with Joma began during the season 2017-2018. The goals achieved together were incredible. The reliability and great professionalism are the basis of this agreement that will allow both brands to achieve new important goals”.

“Continuing the partnership with Atalanta, the club that has confirmed to be one of the most wonderful and interesting teams in Europe, is a reason for great pride for Joma. It is a logical consequence of the great work that we are doing together, as if we were a team” – said Alberto López, the General Director of Joma Sport. “The relationship that connects us is beneficial and full of satisfaction for both of us. I’m sure that it will help us to become much stronger together and achieve new important goals”.
