Puma to Release Laceless Boots in 2021

Puma will release their first-ever laceless football boots next year, possibly drawing inspiration from Adidas.

The Puma silo to receive the laceless treatment will be the Ultra, specifically the next generation that is set for a debut in January / February of 2021.

There are several interesting tidbits about Puma dropping a laceless soccer cleat: First, the brand was planning a laceless version of the Puma ONE in 2018, which ended up never being released.

On top of that, Marco Reus, one of the brand's most famous athletes, continues to wear the Future without any laces - we will see whether he will make the switch to the officially laceless Puma Ultra boots in 2021.

Ever since Adidas brought it back to the limelight with the 2016 debut of the Adidas Ace 16+, several smaller brands have also hopped on the laceless trend, including Kappa, Lotto, New Balance and Umbro.

Stay tuned for more info and pictures of the laceless Puma Ultra 2021 football boots over the coming days.
