UPDATE: Everton to Leave Umbro For Hummel Despite Valid Contract?

Update: Umbro started a competition that allows "11 lucky fans the opportunity to have an exclusive mash-up shirt designed and created for them by mash-up label Blood In Blood Out. However, there seem to be all major first division teams sponsored by Umbro included - except Everton. This is another sign that Umbro will end their partnership with the Premier League club Everton FC.

Update: Following up on our story from yesterday, the most likely brand to replace Umbro at Everton for next season is Hummel. The Danish brand's name is definitely the one mentioned the most among the Everton supporters and it's also the one named by our source.

It would be a major scoop for the brand that currently has teams like Charlton, Freiburg, Middlesbrough and Rangers under contract. However, nothing is signed as of yet and an official announcement is not expected soon.

Premier League club Everton, having recently presented the final design for their spectacular new stadium, could be in for a kit supplier switch over the summer - despite announcing a 'multi-year' extension with Umbro only last March.

However, rumors have been circulating for some time and now a reliable source has confirmed to us that there's now more 'concrete' base for the claims that Everton will move on from Umbro in 2020-21 by prematurely cutting the deal short.

The main reason for that is that the club were deeply disappointed by the way the launch of the 19-20 Everton home and training kits went. Instead of the May release date the club had hoped for, Umbro was only able to release the new home kit in July. There were also some haulage issues behind the scenes with the brand missing some delivery dates.

Stay tuned for updates on this story and on who could become the next Everton kit supplier.
