Adidas & Nike SL Boots Hybrid? Memphis Depay Shows Off All-New Superlight Under Armour Spotlight SL Boots

Dutch striker Memphis Depay has debuted an all-new pair of Under Armour football boots in yesterday's EURO 2020 qualifiers match against Germany.

Even though there are no official information about the boots worn by Depay, everything indicates that they are a super-lightweight version of the Under Armour Spotlight. They are set to be called Under Armour Spotlight SL (SL for Superlight).

Memphis Depay Debuts Under Armour Spotlight SL Soccer Cleats

The colorway of the Under Armour Spotlight SL boots debuted by Memphis Depay is orange and black, inspired by the famous Dutch home kit. The boots come with the same branding positioning as the regular Under Armour Spotlight, while the UA logos have a special effect.

Tech-wise, the Under Armour Spotlight SL football boots are are super-lightweight edition of the regular, already lightweight Under Armour Spotlight. The upper seems to be super thin. while the eye-catching element is a remarkable cage that is designed to look similar to carbon-fibre.

In fact, the 'carbon-fibre cage' is similar to the Adidas X SL football boots released by the German Three Stripes brand in 2016.

The sole plate of the Under Armour Spotlight SL soccer cleats is also made for lightweight and speed. It is a full carbon-fibre plate, similar to those used by Nike for their classic Nike Mercurial SL boots a decade ago.

It is not known yet if Under Armour will sell the Under Armour Spotlight SL to public.
