Confirming previous rumors, English League One club Coventry City yesterday announce that Hummel will become the clubs official kit manufacturer from the 2019/20 season for five years.

Coventry City Sign 5-Year Nike Kit Deal - Club To Get Bespoke Kits

The partnership will see Hummel produce bespoke kits each season as well as a range of training wear. Hummel will make CCFC's kits for the next five years until the end of 2023-24 season. The figures of the contract have not been disclosed.

As announced in the press statement, "the Club conducted an extensive tender process with 5 offers being received and considered with Hummel being chosen as the preferred option."

Head of Commercial, Tynan Scope said: “We are delighted to announce that Hummel will be designing the first team kits and training wear.

“We know from speaking with fans and listening to feedback that the three main aspects they wanted to see from Sky Blues kits were replica kits in baby sizes, larger size choices in adult kits and for kits to be bespoke and unique to CCFC.

“Hummel have certainly delivered on this and we are looking forward to revealing the kits in the coming weeks.”

Pleased to be partnering with Coventry City, Commercial Director of Hummel Neil Burke commented; “We are extremely proud to have been chosen as the new Technical Partner. Over the next 5 years we will provide players, staff and most importantly the supporters with an exceptional range of products both on and off the field.”

It will be the first time in 30 years since the club last wore Hummel back in the 1987/88 and 1988/89 seasons. The kit released by Hummel back in that time is arguably one of the most iconic Sky Blues kits, with the design based on Denmark’s World Cup 1986 shirt.

The new Hummel Coventry City 2019-20 home and away kits will be "coming to the fans shortly".
