UEFA Forbids Atlético Madrid To Wear Actual Third Kit Socks

The reason for Atlético Madrid's socks to mismatch the shorts and the shirt colors is that UEFA did not allow the club to wear the regular third shirts due to their Kit regulations. The standard socks feature a light blue gradient design, 'clashing' with Juventus' white socks. Atlético Madrid had to use their away socks in order to avoid a 'color clash'.

Atlético Madrid did also not wore their standard third shorts but the alternative, darker version of them. There is no alternative socks version.

Interestingly, Atlético was allowed to wear their regular socks in the group match away against AS Monaco despite Monaco wearing white socks.
