April Fools' - Arsenal Agree Adidas Kit Deal - Leaked 17-18 Kits

Update: Puma will make the kits for Arsenal until the 2018-19 season. It is not known who will become Arsenal's jersey supplier from the 2019-20 season. Check out the leaked (real) Arsenal 17-18 Puma home, away and third kits.

We can exclusively reveal Adidas will make Arsenal's kits from the 2018-19 season. Puma has been Arsenal's kit supplier since 2014 when they took over from Nike.

Arsenal to Sign Billion Pound Kit Deal

Arsenal's kits will be made for the last time by Puma this season.

Arsenal's Puma kit deal is originally valid until Summer 2019 and is worth 30 million GBP / per season, much lower than what other Premier League teams get. But now the club decided to terminate the deal ahead of schedule as Adidas is reported to pay the triple (90 million GBP / season) of what Puma is paying.

Interestingly, one reason for Adidas to sign Arsenal is that they lost Chelsea to Nike six years ahead of the schedule. However, the German brand received 67 million GBP from Chelsea because of that. Adidas is now able to invest the money from the Blues to make the shirts for the Gunners.

It's expected that Arsenal will officially announce the new Adidas kit deal in early 2018, similar to Chelsea and Nike who announced their deal in January 2017. The deal is only valid for two seasons as Adidas thinks it is not certain yet if Arsenal will still be among the top Premier League teams in 2020.
