Darmstadt Honors Jonathan Heimes with Special Jersey

Having already renamed its stadium in honor of him for the season, Bundesliga team Darmstadt today released a special jersey to honor deceased fan Jonathan Heimes.

To be worn in this weekend's game against Mainz, the shirt celebrates life and legacy of Heimes, who inspired the team to win two promotions in row before falling to cancer last year.

This is the one-off jersey to be worn by Darmstadt in honor of Jonathan Heimes' death a year ago.

Made by regular Darmstadt shirt supplier Jako, whose logo is kept tonal just like the club's, the one-off Darmstadt jersey to honor Heimes is white with a blue chest band. It features Heimes' "DUMUSSTKÄMPFEN" (You have to fight) foundation in the place of regular sponsor Software AG.
