Sevilla and the Puerto Rican tourism agency expressed their delight over the agreement, with the club going as far as calling it the "most important sponsorship deal in the club's history".

CTPR executive director Ingrid Rivera Rocafort said: "Sevilla FC is one of the most important football teams worldwide with followers in the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia. This provides Puerto Rico with an unprecedented international scope. We are confident that this partnership will result in a significant increase in visitors to the island and even more potential opportunity for investors to Puerto Rico, not only from Spain but worldwide, which will result in a major contribution to the economic development of the island."
