Germany 2016 Olympics Home and Away Kits Revealed

The German national team wears quite different kits at the Olympics in Brazil this month than those known from the Euro due to IOC's strict kit regulations and the fact that the national team does not represent the German FA but the country Germany.

The press spokeswoman Spitz of the 'Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund' (DOSB, German Olympic Sports Confederation) commented: "At Olympic Games either a national emblem or the logo of the NOC's (National Olympic Committee, here DOSB) is allowed."

Germany 2016 Olympics Kits

This is the new German national team home jersey for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

Boasting the same design as Germany's Euro 2016 home kit, the new Germany 2016 home shirt comes without Adidas stripes and features the 'Bundesadler' (Coat of arms of Germany) instead of the logo of the German FA to align with the Olympic tournament’s uniform regulations.

The Adidas Germany 2016 Olympics away jersey is also the same as the regular away shirt, just without the DFB crest and the Adidas stripes on the side. It boasts a bold design that pays homage to street football.

Not expected to be available to buy, the new Germany 2016 Olympics kits will be worn by the men's and women's team during the Olympic soccer tournament only.
