NFL Superstar Frank Gore Laces Up In Odd Taped And Modified Adidas X Boots

This boot spot is truly one-of-a-kind. American football player Frank Gore, who plays for the Indianapolis Colts as running back, laced up in a strange-looking Adidas X Soccer Boot in the last two games. And while his boots not only looked strange because of a remarkable white tap, his cleats even feature a modified plate. So let's get straight into the details.

NFL Running Back Frank Gore Laces Up in Modified Adidas X Boots

Based on the regular edition of the black and white Adidas X 15.1 Boots, it looks like that Frank Gore opted for the leather edition of the Adidas X 15.1 for his right foot and the synthetic edition of the Adidas X 15.1 for his left foot. And while the most obvious modification of his boots is definitely the contrasting white tap he used to further increase the lockdown of the boots, there are at least two other modifications that also make the actual boots unique.

First, Frank Gore blacked out the mint green Adidas Performance logo on the heel area. Second, Frank Gore's Adidas X 15.1 Cleats very likely feature a custom sole plate that comes with six remarkable red studs (the standard edition of the Adidas X 15.1 comes with six white studs and otherwise also looks different).

And as there is no picture of his custom sole plate, the last thing that is quite interesting to note is that he used black tap when he debuted the boots against Houston Texas on December 20.
