Nike Introduces Heather Flyknit For Football Boots

It's finally here. With the launch of the new Nike 2016 Women's Boots Pack, Nike did not only release a standard colorway pack, but introduced the Nike Heather Flyknit for the knitted Nike Magista Obra and Nike Mercurial Superfly Boots. What's this all about?

Heather is a term used in clothing. It describes interwoven yarns of mixed colors to create an one-of-a-kind material effect. And while it's generally used to mix similar tones of colors, it's possible to mix bright and contrasting colors to create spectacular designs.

For the new Nike 2016 Women's Boot Collection, Nike introduced the Heather Flyknit upper for the first time for their football boots, creating two outstanding boots for the second-ever Women's exclusive collection.

While the Nike Magista Obra 2016 Women's Boots mix the classic main color black with only few light grey fabrics, the Blue Tint Nike Magista Superfly Boots combine the main color white with striking blue woven fabrics to create an extremely bold design. But is this anything new?

Nike already introduced the Heather upper for other shoes some years ago. However, the US-giant hadn't used the unique option of fusing alternate colors for their football boots until last week.

But what's more interesting is that Nike also introduced a totally new (but limited edition) heather color-gradient design for the Nike Flyknit Roshe Run ID Shoes in early 2015, which could be also used for upcoming soccer cleats.

Both boots showcase what's possible with Heather Flyknit uppers. Ranging from only subtle but unique details to contrasting multicolor uppers, the Nike Heather Flyknit allows the Swoosh to create almost endless different designs.
