The new Adidas Adizero Kit technology in detail

The new Adidas 2014 Authentic World Cup Kits feature the new Adizero technology developed by Adidas, instead of the previous Formotion technology used for the player issue jerseys. Previously the name Adizero was known especially for the Adidas Adizero F50 Boots, which are characterized by lightweight as one of the lightest football boot on the market with a weight of 150g. But what is the new Adizero kit technology?

The new Adidas Adizero Authentic Kits are much lighter than any previous kits produced by Adidas. Back in May 2013 Adidas showed The Future Of Football at First 'Adidas lab' presenting a special produced light kit set as well as a 99g boot, which could be released in mid-2014 as special limited edition.

Adidas Adizero Kit technology

According to Adidas, the new Adidas Adizero Kit just weights 100g, 40% lighter than the previous Euro 2012 jerseys. They are the lightest kit ever produced by Adidas and will be used by the professionals at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

To achieve the lightweight, Adidas has changed every detail of the new Adizero Kit to make them as light as possible. Weight has been removed from the main kit, the collar and the sleeve cuffs with lighter materials used. The complete jersey features a new woven lightweight fabric. The crest and the Adidas Performace logo are just heated on the kit, instead of a woven crest of the normal version.

The new Adizero Kit technology provides additional ventilation, helping players to keep dry during 90 minutes. It's designed to feel like a second skin to provide the maximum freedom of movement and features a slim fit.

The new Adizero 2014 Kit is avialable to purchase to purchase for 250 US Dollar. The Adidas Adizero Kit comes with the shirt, the shorts and the socks boxed in a special presentation case.
