Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Green / Turquoise / Orange

This is the new Nike Mercurial Vapor IX 2014 1998 Boot in Light Green / Turquoise / Orange.

The new Nike Mercurial Vapor IX January 2014 green boot features some stunning and very interesting design elements. Even the 98Mercurial boot is inspired by the 1998 Mercurial Boot, the similiraties between both boots are not as easy to be seen compared to the three other World Cup inspired Mercurial boots.

The first Mercurial Vapor IX 2014 Boot is mainly green with a gradient to turquoise and comes with orange applications in contrast. Something quite exciting about this Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Colorway is the silver tongue and the lettering 98M on the side of the boot, which honours the first Mercurial Boot released back in 1998 from which Nike made a special 15 years anniversary edition.

On the inner side of the 2014 Mercurial Vapor boot features the big Nike lettering in orange, with an interesting detail made by Nike. The remarkable wave design of the 1998 Mercurial boot was transformed to the special Nike Mercurial Vapor 1998 boot. The lettering also highlights the innovations of the Mercurial silo as well as the "speed aesthetic design" of the Nike Mercurial.

On the inner sole feature some very interesting details of the first Nike Mercurial boot, which was almost named Ultravelox. Ronaldo has worn as first player a speed boot and was named best player.

The outsole of the January green Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Boot is green with two orange studs at the back. On the inner sole feature also some details for the special edition, which we will reveal in the upcoming days. So stay tuned if you ever wanted to know how the Mercurial was almost named.
